Tantric Massage in NYC

I'm Max. I've spent fifteen years studying and practicing bodywork, and tantric massage is the discipline at the center of it. This page is for women who want to actually understand what a tantric massage is — where it comes from, why it works, and exactly how I practice it in my private studio in Woodside, Queens.

What Tantric Massage Is

Tantra is an ancient Indian tradition — the Sanskrit word means to weave — and its central idea is that body, breath, and energy are one fabric. Where most traditions treated the body as something to rise above, Tantra treated it as the instrument itself: something to inhabit fully, honor, and awaken.

Tantric massage is the modern, hands-on expression of that idea. It is a slow, meditative, full-body massage in which no part of you is off the map, built on breath, sustained presence, and the deliberate movement of energy — what the tradition calls prana — through the body. Arousal is welcomed rather than avoided, but it is never the assignment.

That is the real difference from every other massage you've had: there is no sequence to get through and no finish line to reach. A spa massage works on your muscles. A tantric massage works on your whole nervous system — and it does not ask anything of you in return.

Why It's Worth Experiencing

Most of us spend our lives in our heads, and most touch we receive comes with an agenda attached. Tantric massage removes both. When the breath slows and the touch has no goal, the nervous system stops bracing — and a body that isn't bracing can finally feel.

This is the paradox at the heart of the practice: because nothing is being chased, everything becomes more intense. Some women arrive having spent years performing, hurrying, or spectating their own pleasure, and they describe the same things afterward — sensation in places they'd gone numb to, arousal that builds far past where it usually plateaus, and release that is deeper and longer because it was allowed to arrive instead of being pursued.

But most women who find me already know the feeling they're looking for. They've felt its edges before — they've simply been seeking someone who can actually deliver it. That feeling isn't something I bring into the room; it's already inside you, and it only needs to be awakened. This will be the most of it you've ever felt.

And beyond the pleasure itself, this work is a way of discovering yourself — arriving as your whole self, being met as your whole self, and learning what your body responds to when it is given time, attention, and no expectations. Many women book a first session out of curiosity. They come back because of what it showed them about who they are.

How I Practice — My Personal Approach

Everything below is grounded in the tradition, refined over fifteen years, and adapted to the woman on my table. No two sessions are identical — but these are the elements I build with. (For the most intimate application of this work, see yoni massage.)

Synchronized breath

The spine of every session I give. Before my hands do anything, we breathe together until our rhythms lock — long, slow breaths that drop you out of your thoughts and into your body. In the tradition this is pranayama, the deliberate control of breath to move energy. Everything else in the session is built on top of it, and we return to it whenever I want to deepen what you’re feeling.

Eye gazing

We hold each other’s eyes for long, unhurried stretches. Tantra treats sustained eye contact as its own form of intimacy — it is disarming at first, and then it becomes one of the most connecting things two people can do. Nothing is demanded of you in those moments; you are simply seen.

Slow hands, and finding your spots

My hands move across your whole body slowly enough to listen. Every woman’s body responds in different places and in a different order, and fifteen years of this work have taught me to find yours — the spots that make you catch your breath — and to return to them, building each one wave by wave rather than rushing past.

Communicating in sound

Words pull you back into your head, so we mostly leave them behind. Sighs, breath, and sound become the conversation — you tell me what is working without having to explain anything, and I answer with my hands. Letting sound out instead of holding it in is itself a tantric practice: it keeps the energy moving instead of trapping it.

Body-to-body embrace

At points in the session I hold you — chest to back, wrapped and supported, in positions drawn from the same lineage as the Kama Sutra. Skin-to-skin stillness lets you feel another body breathing with yours, and for many women this is the part that stays with them longest.

Aromatherapy and music that builds

The room is part of the practice. Warm oil and essential oils occupy your sense of smell; the music is chosen to build in slow arcs that mirror where the session is going, so your whole environment rises with you instead of sitting flat in the background.

Warmth and energy work

Using techniques from the old practice — breath direction, sustained touch, and slow circulation strokes along the body’s energy lines — I build physical warmth that spreads from where my hands are to where they aren’t. Whether you think of that as prana or simply as your nervous system waking up, you will feel it running through you.
